Oban Open Draw Banner1.jpg
The Oban Open Draw is an inclusive and accessible art night initiative started by Renuka in October 2021, in generous partnership with The Rockfield Centre.  The monthly event is modelled on the Amsterdam Open Draw; a plethora of art supplies is open for everyone to use, alongside prompts and specialized activities and themes.  Examples of activities include ornament making, lino-printing and book binding workshops.  An inspiration library is on hand to provide ideas, and participants are encouraged to engage with each other, making it a free, social space.  The intention is to provide  artistic experimentation and freedom for all, especially in a rural setting where chances to do so may be few for those not involved in professional artistic careers.

In a bid to make the sessions accessible for all, the night is run on donations.  The sessions have also been generously supported with a donation from The Oban Art Society.

The sessions are ongoing and are held on the last Friday of each month at The Rockfield Centre.
